HTML2PDF Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

HTML2PDF is an HTML-to-PDF conversion app for iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy explains how we process information when you import HTML content, enter a URL, create PDFs, manage conversion history, use iCloud sync, or purchase Pro access.

Depending on the features you use, HTML2PDF may process the following information on your device:

  • Local .html / .htm files, ZIP web projects, or related resources that you choose to import
  • URLs that you enter for conversion
  • Rendered web content shown through Apple WebKit before conversion
  • Generated PDF files and PDF metadata
  • Conversion records, including title, source type, source file name or URL, creation time, output file path, file size, page count, preview information, deletion state, and access state
  • Local history and recent conversion lists
  • iCloud / CloudKit records and files used to sync conversion records and saved PDFs across devices signed in to the same Apple Account
  • Membership purchase status, restore purchase status, entitlement validity, and free allowance state

HTML2PDF does not provide an app account system, and we do not operate a self-hosted conversion server for your HTML or PDF content.

We process this information to:

  • Import or render the HTML source you choose
  • Generate a PDF from the rendered result
  • Save the generated PDF by conversion record, rather than by project
  • Show recent conversions on the home screen and full conversion history in Settings
  • Limit saving, exporting, downloading, or sharing generated PDFs when a free allowance is exceeded
  • Provide Pro benefits, including iCloud sync, unlimited conversion result access, and full history access
  • Restore purchases and confirm entitlement state through StoreKit

The app may still allow conversion and preview after a free daily allowance is used. The limitation applies to result actions such as save, export, download, and share.

HTML2PDF is local-first. Imported sources, generated PDFs, conversion records, and related metadata are saved locally on your device by default.

If iCloud sync is enabled and available, some data may sync through Apple’s official iCloud / CloudKit private database, including:

  • Conversion record metadata
  • Saved PDF files linked to conversion records
  • Deletion records used to keep history consistent across devices
  • Entitlement-adjacent local state needed to decide which records can be accessed on the current device

iCloud sync is asynchronous and best-effort. Network conditions, Apple service availability, iCloud account state, and device storage may affect sync timing or completeness.

When you enter a remote URL, HTML2PDF uses Apple WebKit WKWebView to load and render that page before generating a PDF. Loading a URL may contact the website you entered and any third-party resources referenced by that page, such as images, scripts, stylesheets, fonts, analytics, or embedded content.

Those network requests are determined by the page you choose to render and by system WebKit behavior. You should only convert pages that you are allowed to access and use.

HTML2PDF may use the following system capabilities:

  • File access and document opening, used for importing HTML sources and saving or sharing PDFs
  • Network access, used when you convert a remote URL or when loaded HTML references remote resources
  • iCloud / CloudKit, used for Pro sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account
  • StoreKit, used for subscriptions, lifetime purchases, restore purchases, and entitlement checks

You can manage app permissions, iCloud, network access, and subscriptions in system settings and Apple Account settings.

You can:

  • Delete conversion records and generated PDFs in the app
  • Manage iCloud sync in system settings
  • Manage or cancel auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple
  • Restore purchases in the app
  • Remove local app data by deleting the app from your device

Free users may only be able to view recent history for a limited number of days. Pro users can access full history, subject to local storage and iCloud availability.

HTML2PDF is intended for general users. Parents or guardians should help children manage file sources, URL sources, network access, iCloud, and device permissions.

If product features or applicable rules change, we may update this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be published on this page.
